Who and what is Arascina?

Arascina bridges the gap between knowledge and application through skills-based courses. We provide instructor-led and hybrid online courses to upskill non-techies in cyber security without the need for an IT degree or coding.

Where are you located?

Our office is located in Sydney, Australia. All courses are delivered via an online portal as live instructor-led (virtual face-to-face) or through a hybrid model of both live instructor-led and self-learning. As such, you can complete all courses from the comfort of your own home or office.

How long are your courses?

All courses are between 4 and 6 weeks part-time. Our research shows that anything less is insufficient time to grasp the skills needed for work and anything greater results in a loss of focus for busy working professionals. That’s why we don’t offer lengthy degrees or certifications.

Do you provide degrees and certifications?

Arascina only offers short and sharp courses or upskilling programs. Our focus is to get you up and running with the skills you need to implement at work and as such, are more practical and immersive in nature.

What qualification will I receive?

Arascina online short courses provide you with a digital badge or a certificate of completion by Arascina itself. These are awarded upon successful completion of a course and the associated practical component for their sponsoring company or another firm of their choice. The way these courses are designed are to give learners the practical skills that they need to fulfill their job duties on a day-to-day basis. The courses do not provide any credits towards a University degree or diploma.

What are these practical components?

Arascina places a strong emphasis on practical skills in its online short courses. The badge or certificate is only awarded on the successful and satisfactory delivery of the practical component. These components have been carefully curated for non-tech professionals such that you can demonstrate experience in a given domain that would normally be expected of you in a given role. Learners often use their sponsoring or current company’s project such that the learning complements their work deliverable at the same time, while others choose to use a model company to simulate different activities.

How is this different to other courses and certifications?

Short and sharp: Usually 4-6 weeks part-time, as opposed to lengthier programs.

Work outcomes: Our programs focus on practical techniques that you can apply at work as opposed to just learning objectives.

Guided learning: We’re with you every step of the way.

Where can I locate the Arascina login URL

Arascina has an online platform, which is where you will log in to find course material and lessons. For live instructor-led elements, links will be placed on the lesson module for accessing the classroom and any other digital accessories. All registered learners will receive their login details in the week leading up to the course start date. If you have any problems with accessing your online portal, please reach out to the course team.

You can pay online via our secure payment gateway. For tailored programs and workshops for corporates, payment can also be made through electronic transfer, which can be found at the bottom of your quote or invoice.

Do you offer financial support?

We are not able to offer any funding directly. Our short courses focus on giving non-techies the cyber security skills they need to thrive in their role and as such, there is no application process for such funding.

As part of their company’s commitment to learning and development for their staff, our learners often seek funding from their employer.

Whom builds these courses?

Arascina taps into a wide global audience in different industries, including those outside of cyber security, in order to curate practical programs for non-techies.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

We understand that things happen unexpectedly. Arascina offers you the option to postpone your course enrolment to the next cohort and where possible, with the same instrutor-led format. If you have not accessed the course content, and prior to the commencement of the first lesson, you may cancel and request a full refund, less any processing fees and charges by your local bank or financial services provider.

I tried to pay online but received an error. What can I do?

Please ensure that you have entered all the required details accurately. If you need clarification with the payment process, please reach out to us via the contact page. If everything is accurate and you are still having an issue, please reach out to your bank or financial services provider.

I have paid for my course. What's next?

You will receive a link to your online platform and course materials on the course start date.

Will anything be sent to me for the course?

Course delivery, whether instructor-led or a hybrid model, will be facilitated and delivered online. This can be accessed from our online portal. No material will be sent to your physical address.

Have you received my payment?

Once payment is successfully made, you will receive a payment receipt from our accounts and finance team via email. It is encouraged that you make use of our secure payment gateways as these will be faster than electronic funds transfers.

Have I secured my place in the course?

Subject to your payment for the course before the closing date, you will be enrolled. If you have made payment but are unable to join us in the cohort, you may register for the next available intake. Please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be a next available cohort for the course that would like to take.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

We understand that things happen unexpectedly. Arascina offers you the option to postpone your course enrolment to the next cohort and where possible, with the same instrutor-led format. If you have not accessed the course content, and prior to the commencement of the first lesson, you may cancel and request a full refund, less any processing fees and charges by your local bank or financial services provider.

Once I return the cancellation form, when can I expect my refund?

Generally, our turnaround time for refunds is ten business days from the date of confirmation of banking details or the original payment method and any other required documentation. This may be shorter or longer depending on the processing by your bank or financial institution.

Your instructor will be supporting you every step of the course. On top of that, you are encouraged to engage with your cohort and any previous cohorts for ongoing support during the course. Both during and after the course, you will also be placed into a global community of professional non-techie peers that are learning and supporting each other. You will remain as part of this community even after you have completed the course.

How will my employees juggle learning and work?

Our courses are delivered online to give learners the maximum flexibility. Our courses include a strong focus on practical application, which means that they often use a live work project or deliverable. This means that they are learning and applying these new skills at the same time and equates to on-the-job training. Your employees will see value in practical learning, while you get the work outcome or project completed.

Since projects are often complex and intertwined with other parts of the business, Arascina does not guarantee delivery. Rather, we enable your employees to be in a strong position to have the skills to undertake the work. Other factors such as determination and effort also need to be taken into account.

Can you tailor a program specific to a required skillset?

What if I miss the cut-off for submitting my employees?

What are the payment options?

You can pay the course fees in full for each employee before the course starts via our secure payment gateway. Alternatively, we provide the flexibility for a bulk billing option to your company where you can make an electronic funds transfer to our bank account.
